CME Group reports that metals-trading volume rose year-on-year in March and the first quarter of 2012. For March, average daily volume of 395,000 contracts was up 8% from 366,000 in March of 2011, although it was the same as in February. For the first quarter, CME Group says daily average volume was 385,000 lots, up 2% compared with the same period last year and up 22% sequentially.

CME Group reports that metals-trading volume rose year-on-year in March and the first quarter of 2012. For March, average daily volume of 395,000 contracts was up 8% from 366,000 in March of 2011, although it was the same as in February.
