MCX Cardamom-MCX Cardamom futures up on firm spot demand 

MCX Cardamom futures prices rose by Rs 3.10 to Rs 735 per kg in futures trading on Friday as speculators created fresh position after pick up in spot demand amid lower arrivals from producing region.

At the Multi Commodity Exchange, cardamom prices for delivery in June rose by Rs 3.10, or, 0.42 per cent, to Rs 735 per kg in business turnover of 454 lots. 

Likewise, the spice for delivery in July, edged up by Rs 1.90, or, 0.28 per cent, to Rs 763.50 per kg in 69 lots. 

Analysts attributed the rise in cardamom futures to pick up in demand in the spot market against restricted arrivals from producing region.


MCX Crude Palm Oil- Crude palm oil futures remain up on increased demand

MCX Crude palm oil futures remained higher for the second straight day and prices added Rs 1.80 to Rs 475 per 10 kg in futures trade on Friday as speculators engaged in enlarging positions amid increased spot market demand.

At the Multi Commodity Exchange, crude palm oil for delivery in May added Rs 1.80, or, 0.38 per cent, to Rs 475 per 10 kg in business turnover of 91 lots.

Similarly, oil prices for delivery in June traded higher by Rs 1.30, or, 0.27 per cent, to Rs 477 per 10 kg in 102 lots.

Market analysts said fresh positions created by speculators tracking strong demand in the spot markets, mainly kept crude palm oil prices higher at futures market here.

MCX Mentha oil - 
Mentha oil 
futures gain 1.24% on pick up in demand

MCX Mentha oil prices moved up by 1.24 per cent, to Rs 972.30 per kg in futures trading on Friday as speculators created fresh positions, driven by pick up in demand in the spot market.

Further, tight supplies from producing belts also supported the upside.

At the Multi Commodity Exchange, mentha oil for delivery in May gained Rs 11.90, or, 1.24 per cent, to Rs 972.30 per kg in business turnover of 350 lots.

Similarly, oil prices for delivery in June, traded higher by Rs 11.40, or, 1.19 per cent to Rs 971.80 per kg in 267 lots.

Market analysts said fresh positions created by speculators on the back of rising demand from consuming industries in the spot market, mainly led to rise in mentha oil prices at futures trade.
